Experience Christmas Eve in a quaint, little country church

Carol favourites, festive music with The Kraus Family, candlelight Eucharist

... for all in town and from 'away'

Come and experience Christmas Eve this year in a quaint, little country church.

It will feel like Christmas and you'll be welcomed like family.

Music Director, Maestro John Kraus is the Music Director at the helm of the Northumberland Orchestra and Choir.

John is a coach in the La Juenesse Youth Orchestra, where his daughters participate as members of the strings section. He was the founding Music Director and conductor of the Durham Chamber Orchestra (1996-2007) and the Lakeridge Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.  As a member of the teaching faculty of the CAMMAC/Lake Field Music Camp, John continues to work with adult amateur musicians each summer coaching chamber ensembles, conducting large ensembles and teaching clarinet and saxophone technique. John has had the opportunity to lead ‘honour’ student ensembles (wind ensemble, symphonic band and orchestra) as part of the annual Conference of Independent Schools Music Festival, held annually at Roy Thomson Hall.

He has been active as a clinician and adjudicator for workshops and festivals across Ontario. John is a highly accomplished Music Educator. His choral experience includes the years he sang as a member of the Bell’Arte Singers (Toronto).

A very warm welcome to John, Janina, and two of their daughters, Vanessa and Rachel, from the People of St Matthew - St Aidan.
